It’s Time to Let the Dream Die, Justin

Yes, that’s Justin Guarini at the party celebrating the top 24 finalists for Season 7 of American Idol.

And in case you missed that, Justin, that’s Season 7!

You lost in Season 1. It’s time to let the dream go and get out of the way for a group of much younger and much more talented contestants.

Justin, in all honesty, you’re starting to remind us of one those guys who still dated girls in high school, even though you graduated 5 years before. You know the creepy guys, who still live with their mom and dad, smoke a lot of pot and maybe make a couple of bucks cleaning their neighbors’ pools.

Well that’s you now, but you don’t seem to get it. And you still seem to be hanging around, even though your freshness date has long since expired.

So Justin, please stop. For the sake of everyone involved.

You need to embark on something fresh and exciting. Maybe you could work at the Gap. It really doesn’t matter.

It’s time to move on.
